Today’s more modern Corporate Seals emboss the corporation’s official name, state and year of its formation onto legal documents which represent the power and authority to authenticate them.
History of Corporate Seals The history and necessity of having / using a corporate seal was most likely the result of treating a corporation the same way as an individual. The corporate seal being the mark or in more simple terms the signature of the corporation. Before the existence of corporations the use of seals was widely seen among the Jews, Persians and then the Romans. It is preferable that your Company has one. Why do I Need a Corporate Seal ? You may be wondering why you need a corporate seal? Insert the document in between the male and female portion of the seal to the desired location and squeeze the handle like you would a pair of pliers. If a desk seal you may want to apply pressure with both hands down on the seal handle. Please note: when you order a corporate seal you must specify to the manufacturer the direction you intend to use your corporate seal so the seal will be produced with the dies inserted in the proper direction to create the image in a readable fashion. seal. It is the economical choice for clean, sharp impressions. A desk seal
gives the advantage of leverage. Being able to put more of your body weight on
the handle creating more pressure on the seal itself creating a deeper more
defined impression. A custom seal with a logo and large amount of detail will
work best with a desk seal. Long
Reach Corporate Seal Desk Seal This Long Reach seal is exactly what the name implies. It provides a longer reach than a standard desk seal.
The reach is 2 1/2" measured from the center of the die to the back of the throat. This type unit is ideal when trying to
position the corporate seal further into the document. Plus it provides all the other

Stamp of Corporate Seal Unlike a Corporate Seal which embosses the image into the paper, this is a traditional rubber stamp which is used in conjunction with a stamp pad. The result is an inked impression on of the seal on the surface the document. Self
Inking Corporate Seal Stamp This type corporate seal stamp is self inking and requires no stamp pad. The stamp die is made of a porous rubber which when manufactured is saturated with your desired color of ink. Black ink is the most desirable as it will reproduce best when copies of documents are made. This type of stamp is traditionally more expensive, but the convenience is well worth it. Using gold foil labels with your corporate seal will provide an extra special look of authenticity. They may be used on stock certificates, proclamations and on official correspondence. These type labels are also available in silver, green, red, and blue foil. The impression inker is used to make
seal impressions suitable for photocopying or Faxing. It is operated by turning the
inked pad upside down and rubbing it in a circular fashion on the raised
embossed seal. The raised section of the image will pick up the black in making
